The Associated Press BLACKSBURG -- A Montgomery County jury has awarded $350,000 to a woman involved in a crash that killed a bicyclist during a triathlon in June 2000. Sharon Knight had sued the town and Beverly Biancur, the director of the third annual Greater Blacksburg Triathlon, claiming they were negligent in failing to warn motorists of the race course.

So in 2008 -- the world-class professional bicycle race's second year -- the Tour will feature an extra stage and showcase four more Missouri towns.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—After winning last year's Tour de France, Alberto Contador will be favored to do it again. No problem, says the Spanish rider. "I like the pressure. It's good for training," Contador said in Spanish through a translator.
